Beberapa Cara Meningkatkan Pendapatan Adsense

Mungkin bagi para publisher adsense sudah cukup bosan membaca artikel seperti ini. Namun tidak ada salahnya kita mengevaluasi kembali atau setidaknya mengingat kembali bagaimana kita bersusah payah membangun bisnis adsense.

Ada banyak cara meningkatkan pendapatan dari adsense. Mulai dari tata letak penempatan iklan, target visitor atau tehnik SEO lainnya. Saya akan membahas beberapa cara yang cukup efektif yang saya dapatkan dari berbagai forum juga tutorial adsense di internet.

1. Content

Ingat, pengunjung mendatangi blog anda karena isinya. Blog anda akan bernilai tinggi jika pengunjung menemukan blog anda melalui Search Engine, kemudian berapa lama mereka membuka blog anda lalu kembali lagi kemudian waktu. Jika pengunjung datang melalui Search Engine artinya blog anda memiliki rangking yang baik pada web portal seperti Google, Yahoo atau Bing. Blog anda bisa mendapatkan rangking yang baik karena artikel pada blog anda sangat relevan dengan kata kunci pengunjung. Memang semua itu bisa anda pelajari melalui trik-trik SEO yang saya rasa cukup panjang untuk dijelaskan di sini.

Saran : Secara sederhana saya ingin mengatakan buatlah artikel sebanyak mungkin pada blog anda dengan topik yang saling berkaitan (niche). "Buatlah" bukan copy paste dari blog orang lain.

2. Layout

Perbaiki tata letak blog anda. Selama ini saya berpikir bahwa blog dengan banyak aksesoris akan terlihat keren. Hampir semua blog saya (dulu) menggunakan widget, animasi flash atau pop up. Memang awalnya saya menikmati hal itu, namun kenyataannya trafik pengunjung blog-blog saya mulai menurun. Loading time yang lama, animasi yang mengganggu artikel. Juga pop up yang menyebalkan menghambat pengunjung saat membuka artikel. Saya lupa akan tujuan blog yang sebenarnya. Ternyata blog yang sederhana lebih disukai pengunjung, karena mereka membuka blog anda untuk melihat isi atau artikel blog anda. Bukan untuk menonton animasi flash.

Saran : Buatlah blog anda menjadi mudah dibaca. Buang widget atau plugin yang tidak penting untuk mempercepat waktu loading.

3. Jumlah Iklan

Penempatan iklan ternyata sangat berpengaruh pada pendapatan blog. Sebelumnya saya selalu menempatkan iklan sebanyak mungkin pada blog saya. Dengan harapan semakin banyak iklan yang muncul, maka akan semakin besar kesempatan saya mendapatkan klik dari pengunjung. Ternyata saya salah. Para pengguna internet saat ini sudah berevolusi, sudah semakin pandai membedakan iklan dan isi artikel. Jika anda mendapatkan klik, artinya mereka memang benar-benar tertarik pada iklan yang ada. Bukan karena tidak sengaja. Akhirnya saya mencoba sederhana, memasang iklan seadanya dan tidak mengganggu kenyaman pengunjung. Ternyata hal tersebut sangat efektif. CTR adsense saya meningkat karena tingginya kompetisi dari nilai iklan yang ada. Sebab saya hanya menyediakan 2 space pada blog saya untuk iklan.

Coursera | Kuliah Gratis di Internet

Mau melanjutkan kuliah tidak punya biaya? Atau tidak sempat karena kesibukan anda? Mengapa tidak mencoba kuliah lewat internet?

Saat ini dunia pendidikan sudah berubah, hanya dengan mengandalkan ijazah SMU/SMA saja, kita akan kesulitan mendapatkan pekerjaan yang layak. Karena beberapa perusahaan sudah memasang standar lulusan yang cukup tinggi untuk calon karyawan baru. Jika beberapa tahun lalu lulusan SMU/SMA masih bisa menduduki jabatan sebagai Administrator, Store Keeper atau posisi staff lainnya. Saat ini paling cuma bisa menjadi Kurir, Operator mesin atau SPG.

Coursera adalah salah satu solusi bagi mereka yang tidak mampu melanjutkan kuliah karena keterbatasan waktu atau biaya. Karena Coursera memberikan kuliah secara online dan gratis. Bagaimana dengan kualitas lulusannya?

Gratis bukan berarti tidak bermutu. Bahkan beberapa universitas terkemuka di dunia ikut serta dalam program ini. Untuk saat ini saja ada sebanyak 17 unversitas papan atas di Amerika Serikat dan negara lainnya menawarkan mata kuliah daring gratis lewat jejaring Coursera.

Coursera menyebut penawaran mata kuliah gratis itu menggambarkan semakin berkembangnya MOOC, massive open online courses, yang mulai mengubah wajah pendidikan tinggi.

Coursera yang didirikan dua profesor ilmu komputer dari Stanford University kini menawarkan lebih dari 200 mata kuliah dari 33 institusi yang bisa diakses siapapun yang memiliki sambungan internet.

Coursera melaporkan saat ini memiliki 1,2 juta mahasiswa terdaftar dari berbagai penjuru dunia. 

Universitas yang baru saja bergabung dengan Coursera antara lain Brown, Columbia, Emory, Vanderbilt, dan Wesleyan serta Berklee College of Music juga Miunt Sinai School of Medicine. Universitas asing yang menggunakan fasilitas jejaring pendidikan itu antara lain Hebrew University of Jerusalem, University of British Columbia, University of London, University of Melbourne, dan Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Tweak Intel Graphics Netbook

Umumnya resolusi layar pada netbook adalah 1024 x 600, sementara kebanyakan games PC saat ini menggunakan resolusi minimal 1024 x 768. Seperti yang saya alami ketika mencoba menginstall The Sims 3 pada Netbook Asus 1005PX. Awalnya saya berpikir bahwa netbook ini tidak mampu menjalankan The Sims 3 karena keterbatasan hardware.

Asus EeePC 1005PX menggunakan Intel Atom 1.6 Ghz dengan memory bawaan 1 GB. Graphics card Intel GMA 3500 Series juga seharusnya cukup untuk menjalankan game ini.

Setelah mencari ke berbagai forum, ternyata keterbatasannya adalah resolusi yang tidak mendukung. Karena The Sims 3 membutuhkan minimal resolusi 1024 x 768.

Ternyata caranya cukup mudah untuk memaksa graphic card Intel untuk mencapai resolusi tersebut. Anda hanya perlu merubah registry pada Windows untuk memunculkan option pada pilihan resolusi.
Caranya adalah :

1. Buka Registry Editor dengan cara ketik regedit pada search box di Start Menu.
2. Tekan Ctrl F pada keyboard dan carilah key  “Display1_DownScalingSupported”
3. Dobel klik pada string dan rubah nilai 0 menjadi 1
4. tekan F3 untuk mencari key selanjutnya dan lakukan hal yang sama.
5. Tutup jendela regedit dan restart komputer.
6. Sekarang periksa pada pilihan resolusi layar dan pilih 1024 x 768.

Beberapa game yang membutuhkan resolusi 1024 x 768 akhirnya bisa saya jalankan. Cara ini juga berguna untuk memunculkan fungsi Metro UI pada Windows 8.

Kelemahan dari tweak ini, display pada netbook akan menjadi melebar (stretched). Namun itu tidak terlalu menjadi masalah jika anda tidak menggunakan netbook untuk menjalankan software yang membutuhkan detail presisi seperti CorelDraw, Photoshop atau AutoCAD.

Note : Cara ini tidak berlaku untuk Graphic AMD/ATI dan NVidia.

Playable Games on Asus Eee PC 1015BX

I have an Asus Eee PC 1015 BX with AMD C60 APU (Brazos), 2 GB DDR 3 memory and ATI Radeon 6290 Graphic Card chipset. Yes this is a netbook, but with that specification I believe this netbook can run some nice present games.

So I trying some games on this netbook, some can running smoothly and some not running at all.

Here the list of playable games running well on Asus Eee PC 1015 BX :

1. Pro Evolution Soccer 2012

I really love soccer game, so the first game I've been trying on this netbook was PES 2012. I didn't see any big difference when I set the game to low or high resolution. Still have a little lag on any moments. But it playable.

2. Pro Evolution Soccer 2009

I'm not satisfy with PES 2012, so I'm looking for another replacement. Trying Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 on it and still has lag. The only run smooth and responsive is Pro Evolution Soccer 2009.

3. Need For Speed Most Wanted

This game running very well on Asus Eee PC 1015 BX. No lag, no flickering, and still playable on the highest setting.

4. Need For Speed Shift 2 : Unleashed

This game is really heavy for any laptop today. Detail texture and amazing effect on this game make it requires high performance graphic card and processor. But I just want to try it on my Asus EeePC 1015BX. After more than an hour instalation, I try to play it. And surprise it's work. I can play this extreme game on Asus EeePC 1015BX with AMD C60 and ATI 6290. And for information, this game little bit slower and hard to control.

5. Prince of Persia : The Forgotten Sands

The most finest game I've been playing on Asus 1015BX. There is no lag, no frame skipping, everything just running fine. I play this until the end of game.

6. Tony Hawks Underground 2

It's running well, I have no issue with this game. Just install it and play.

7. Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 3

It has some lags when playing the video scene but really smooth on game play. When video scene it is load the game on the background. It makes the processor work so hard to load it together. But it's not a big deal, I still can play the game with good quality.

8. Assassin Creed

This is my favorite game. Assassin Creed running very well on Asus 1015BX. After installation finished, it will tell you that is not enough memories and processor. Just ignore this messages and run the game. I have no problem with it. But the other Assassin Creed series can't run on this netbook.
9. Assassin Creed 2
Assassin Creed 2, Brotherhood and Revelation is also running well with low resolution. After I downgrade the operating system to Windows XP Professional SP3, I can play this game with high setting, but I set it to very low resolution to reduce processor work and more comfortable gameplay.
10. Far Cry 2
I has no problem playing Far Cry 2 on Asus EeePC 1015BX. This game is running smooth and no lag on medium graphic setting.
Note :
Some games won’t run on Windows 7, so I do downgrade my Asus EeePC 1015BX to Windows XP, overclocked it to 1,6 Ghz and add Gamebooster. Then BOOM you will impressed with this netbook performance.

Hack the login password

Actually this program is useful for you to remember the login password on any website when you are using Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer. But the program is also useful for other people to see the password on the computer where you run the program. Because this program requires no installation, then your activities will not be tracked by the computer owner.

All kinds of login password will appear when the program is executed. Facebook, Yahoo, G-Mail, any website that you have open will be found by the program.

PCLinuxOS 2010 on Acer TravelMate 4150

A few days ago I tried to install PCLinuxOS 2010 on Acer TravelMate 4150. After downloading the ISO file with KDE version from a local repository, I then burn it to a CD.

Boot time is needed since the laptop is turned up to KDE screen takes about 2 minutes on the Live CD version. All devices on Acer TravelMate 4150 is detected well by PCLinuxOS 2010. I tried to explore the ability of PCLinuxOS 2010 on the laptop. Reading NTFS partitions, open several types of video and audio files and perform Internet connection. Tried a few games that integrated on PCLinuxOS 2010. Everything went smoothly without any problems.

After trying for compatibility on Acer Travelmate 4150, I finally decided to install it permanently on a laptop. The installation process is not difficult. With the GUI interface, I think even a novice will understand. The installation process runs about 20 minutes.

After installation is complete, I restarting my computer and calculate the boot time. These times faster than the Live CD because the PC version of the Linux OS already installed on my hard drive. I do more testing on the compatibility of like when I use the Live CD version.

It seems that the installation version is not as good version of the Live CD, I do not understand why this could occur. I experienced a few times crashes when opening video files, and when to upgrade to some software, it suddenly did not want to open the File Explorer. And when I restart the computer, PC Linux OS 2010 can not open the KDE screen. I can only get in on the Terminal Console.

Overall, this operating system is very good in terms of appearance. All graphical effects on the desktop can be run well. Like Cube Desktop, Transparency, Glass and other effects. From the desktop, this OS is better than Windows Seven who did not support Windows Aero on Intel 915, the embedded graphics chipset in the Acer TravelMate 4150.

I think beyond the problem of stability, PCLinuxOS 2010 could be another option for your laptop.
